Uni Stereotypes

I was just wondering about the stereotypical student at each different university. For instance I know places like Bristol, Edinburgh etc are full of public school boys, but I'm not too sure about any others.
I think it'd be cool if everybody just described the stereotypical student at their uni, or any uni for that matter.

At Sussex - practically everybody was middle-class, southern and potty about looking 'unique' did my nut in. Said 'Oh my GAWD' a lot. To everything.

Aberystwyth - um. I dunno about typical Aber student. Big drinkers :biggrin:

err funny! Actually yeah I've yet to meet someone in Aber without a sense of humour. And often found in hoodies...

KCL- don't know, so diverse and so many departments, people from all over.

There is that rivalry stereotype between KCL and UCL- the jury's out on that one too, but KCL IS friendly for such a big uni- that's what they say when comparing the two places.

Bath - White middle class public school / rich foreign students

This is very much a sterotype though and i know lots of exceptions.

That's just not even remotely true. Pretty much everyone here is middle class of one degree or another. And the vast majority of people here are normal, down-to-earth people who wouldn't look out of place going to Manchester Uni or Lincoln Uni.

These stereotypes are ridiculous, and really not useful in any way.
