Hi Please: How do I enter an expression such as:

3.2 X 10^-5 (ten to the power of negative five) on a calculator. No problem with positive powers
using EXp button or 10x but the negative has lost me. TIA Chris

Chris

You can use the y^x key. Enter 3.2 times 10 which will be the y component. Press the y^x key: and
then enter x as 5. now use the change sign key to make the 5 -5 then press enter. ( or = )

Enter as 3.2EXP5+/-=

The +/- (unary minus/plus ) key toggles the last number from - to + each time you press it.

Vpam calculators need the (-) key which is typed first

3.2EXP(-)5=
