Hi there,
If you've had the chance to look around Radnor Halls, Pilgrim is exactly the same. As someone who lived there in first year, I can honestly say it's great for your first place away from home! Block 1 consists of three flats, and blocks 2-6 consist of eight. There are usually two flats to a floor, and you'll find you'll make friends with the people on your floor. The exception is block 1 (where I lived!) which only has three flats, so on the first night we all went out together, and continued to socialise together for the rest of the year and onwards.
The rooms have single beds, with under bed storage for large items such as boxes and suitcases. You'll have two noticeboards; one on the wall and one at your desk. There's loads of storage space with a big wardrobe with a clothes rail and shelves, and there's lots of shelving space above your desk too. Additionally, you'll have a desk light, a desk chair, a bin, a mirror on the inside of your wardrobe, and coat hooks behind your door. The Halls launderette is a 30 second walk from Pilgrim, situated within the Radnor courtyard.
Because Pilgrim is built around a courtyard (apart from block 6, which is across the road with Robbins Halls), the atmosphere is great. There's always something going on, and there is one Halls Volunteer (who will be an older student) per block to ensure that your stay in Halls is as comfortable as possible.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
