and dont worry about it, im sure there are others in the same situation as urself and everyone will be more then willing to gel as a team especially as i guess you are at least in 6th form or above people are very mature in these situations.

yeah i went away for a week with my fellow geographers who all seemed to have 1 good friend apart from me. just talk to them about the weather or something related to what your field trip is about to break the ice eg "wow isn't that a pretty river?" (all geographers love to talk about it!!!!!) then start to chat about what else they're studying/rumours going round/mutual friends etc etc. Worked for me. Good look and chill out-you'll have a great time!!!! xx

Got the room sorted today. I'm with a load of people i know, but don't like. I dont know how many time teabagging has been mentioned but i can guarantee that it'll happen to me (the sad ******** are on about taking pics aswell:frown:
I cant change the room either.
Practical jokes are something that i'll have to get used to, they all love them, dont get me wrong, i can take a joke but when it gets excessive its just plain ridiculous.
I have a feeling i'm not going to get to sleep till three or four, oh its going to be fun.
The people i'm with are on about going to a pub or something and bringing some drink, as it is a Sixth Form trip and we are 17, its not allowed.
I am not looking forward to this at all.
Oh and the trips to Swanage, get to see Old Harry, Ha!

Another thing is, is do i tell the teachers of they start to bug me.
God that wouldnt half leave me with some problems, anyone?
I actually do feel like crying about this and i'm a 17 year old lad, ****

Being female I guess I don't really have any good advice for those particular situations.

Lads "will be lads" though and always appear to enjoying picking on those who appear weaker than themselves. Try and keep a brave face but don't let them know that their jokes are getting to you. If you show that it bothers you, they will only make things worse for you :frown:

I'm sorry that's all I have.

*waits for a bloke to appear to offer magic words*

Whatever you do don't make it look like you don't like practical jokes and definitely dont ask them not to make jokes. I must admit that if I knew someone didn't like practical jokes I would involve them in one. Honestly though don't worry about it. it's just a bit of fun. If it's anything like me and my mates it's nothing malicous. Try and enjoy yourself, loosen up maybe sneak to the pub if they go.

I can take the jokes, but sometimes they can just take it one step too far and thats when it gets to me.
What can i say, they just probably laugh at me.
It never is malicious, it can just get ****ing irritating at 4.00 in the morning. :frown:

Don't go. If you feel you will be harrassed and you haven't got the strength of courage to tell them to go and **** themselves, then stay at home.

Reply 13

just go - don't back out because you've gotta face up to things like this at some point.
if not now then probably later on in life.

Reply 14

I wish i could just not go but i have to as its a key part of the AGS paper. I doubt we'll do much work. Its not like i'm from a crap school its meant to be the best school in the city!
