Has anybody succesfully applied for jobs with a spent or unspent conviction? (driving offence which lead to a year suspended sentence)

Are you applying for jobs that require a DBS check? Otherwise, normal employers wouldn't know. A driving offence is less likely to be an issue if it does come up on a DBS check as opposed to say a crime involving violence or theft.
cheers for that. Can you tell me what kind of jobs that will not require a DBS check?

Almost everything! A DBS check is only required if you are working with children or vulnerable adults, or in healthcare. Look it up!
A driving offence generally isnt the same as a criminal conviction, its a conviction yes but unless you drove drunk and killed someone (manslaughter) etc, even a DBS wouldnt matter, because no one is not hired for being a bad driver, maybe some logistical firms (ie truck driving) might bat an eye but other then that you should have no issues.
