Revision in Year 12 Summer Holidays

Hello, I'm a Year 12 student starting my summer holidays after her first year of A-levels. I was wondering how much revision/ to do in the holidays (per day) or time to dedicate to a creative subject. I take Fine Art, Maths and Spanish and am aiming for 2 A* and an A. Any advice on how much revision to do and how to relax and not stress all the time in between would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Relax to start off with, you need a break. I’d recommend maybe doing light revision about half way in but nothing intense. You should make sure by the end of the holidays you are confident in everything you should already know.

Hey Becca,

You're taking it plenty in advance so I am sure that you'll ace it and achieve your objectives.

Your focus however should not be on how much to study but how smart.

I've created a short guide on the most efficient tip I have come across when studying myself, you can find it here

I also have some videos on my YouTube channel around study tips, mindset and all that. Here's a playlist with some of my favourite study hacks - a few feel simply perfect for what you're looking for. Here's the playlist. Let me know your thoughts

Hope this helps you !

I can relate as I am in Year 12 as well. A-levels are very challenging for me. My summer holiday was 7 weeks and 2 days with 1 additional week off for work experience. I personally did 3 weeks of intensive studying - 6 days a week - 2/3 hours x 6 days of study. This burnt me out a great deal. To the point I became physically unwell and was bedbound for a week: then I went abroad for a few days for a much needed break. Then I slowly started studying - doing a 2 days x 1.5 hours. Then this week I am doing a 4 day work week. 4 x 2 hours. Slowly does it!!! Planning my study sessions and forcing myself to study difficult material and then rewarding myself by binging the Gilmore girls definingly helps!!!
