As in video quality or quality of their product?

Well this is a channel that would still have Andy Townsend and Robbie Earle droning on if Earle didn't get himself sacked.

BBC now uses UHD where as Itv is just HD. you see the real difference when you use an HDR UHD TV

It's unbelievable how many adverts they show, a block before the national anthems then another block between the anthems and kick off.

Luckily the final can be watched in both the BBC and ITV. One has good pundits and analysis the other is full of Budweiser and Viagra adverts.

And the ****ing piano Mac ad that's supposed to sound 'olde' classic style but sounds like nails on a board.

Don't get this constant hate for ITV, the quality on Sky Go was perfectly fine yesterday and throughout the tournament. Personally I'll watch the final with them as Tyldesley is miles better than Mowbray and pundits (Neville, Bilic, Dixon and Keane) have better and more informed opinions rather than the cliche ridden things that Shearer and Ferdinand come up with.

This has ALWAYS been the same, ITV has always had a slightly trashy tabloidy quality compared to the BBC.

These days they seem to split the coverage, whereas when I was growing up, there was more rivalry as both broadcasters would show the big games simultaneously, making it a big 'battle for ratings'.

The BBC's big pull then was Des Lynam, Mr Suave (he did Lineker's role). I remember one time at the end of one game Des advertising the next game (which was going to be screened simultaneously on ITV) and he said "I'd be surprised if you watched it anywhere else....frankly, I'd be disappointed". That was the nation told!

Jesus Christ that ad, and the voice of the singing is just unbearable.

What about the iPhone X ad. they are shooting videos with the iPhone but the small print says that "additional software was used" in editing the video LOL

I don't know why people get their knickers in a twist about adverts. You aren't missing anything when they're on other than four or five people talking about the thing you've just watched.

I do have a soft spot for Bilic. His healthy dose of apathy for all the things the English media loves is brilliant. He also had the moment of the tournament, and one of the greatest moments in the history of punditry, when he said he didn't care about VAR after the Brazil-Switzerland game.

Bilic should be given his own slot on something like Cantona's "Commissioner of Football" bit on Eurosport.

Agreed, Bikic is the best ITV pundit. e has the best analysis and opinions and hes pretty funny as well.

Pretty funny yesterday when Croatia won, he was over the moon, but the salty ITV presenter reminded him that Croatia have list the last 5 games against France

ITV's video quality is horrific. Tydlesdley & Hoddle aren't great either, Champion & McCoist all the way for me

Why is it that most foreign pundits seem better? Bilic & Keane are ITV's best whilst Fabregas, Klinsmann & Zabaleta offered far more insight than their English counterparts on the BBC

Must say though thanks to the english language the UK is awfully spoiled for choice. When its world cup time in germany the coverage is horrible and limited to native german speakers. We get oliver kahn and standard bundesliga reporters, and the odd no name bundesliga player lol.

Probably becase they can offer a different view and aren't in the England/Premier League bubble so they actually know what it's like in Germany, Argentina, at Bayern, Real Madrid etc. which is unlike England.

Also less favouritism among English buddies. Shearer and co. have jobs for life because they're all mates with each other.
