A- level English literature Coursework

For my NEA I would like to write about Pride and Prejudice, maybe exploring ideas of women or social class. However, I’m struggling to find a second novel to compare to it. It would preferably need to be a more modern text, any ideas would be extremely helpful.
Literature about class divisions isn't really something that translates to contemporary literature now. So you might want to look at things like texts about inter-faith, inter-race or even trans issues - these are the topics of conversations for nowadays,
Hi, I would agree with the above. However, if you chose to focus on women, OCR has listed The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams (1944) as a Drama comparable to the theme of young women. I know TGM is not recent though. No idea what other exam boards say.
