Free summer schools for year 12s

This probably isnt the right time but...

I did the Nottingham Potential Summer school and also the Sutton Trust one last year and surprisingly not many people in my school knew about them. They are usually towards the end of year 12 and I would highly encourage all year 12s to apply for them. The Sutton Trust ones can be done at various unis (i did mine at oxford). There are also many other free ones you can apply for and are a great opportunity to learn more about the course you want to do and life at uni. I did so many amazing things and actually learnt quite a bit. Theyre great to have on your application, I was even able to talk about what i learned on my PS. Some unis (not all ofc) may also reduce your offer if youve attended their summer school.
Applications open around jan/feb and close in march so please please bear this in mind and check them out.
