What is Lafrowda Accommodation really like?

Probably easier to get away with in self catered - since cleaners don't clean you room - just make sure that in Room Inspections you hide it in a wardrobe - as they don't check in cupboards!

It also massively depends on the people you get. People put with people who get on with each other will give the impression of a better atmosphere than people put with people who don't get on - whatever halls they are in. Its the same in any halls so i wouldn't worry about atmosphere just yet as that comes when you make friends... regardless of whether or not they're in your halls.

Untrue, I'm afraid. I didn't get on with my flatmates at all in my first year and I still think Lafrowda's a great place and enjoyed living there.

:ditto: Same with Cooks for me. Didn't particularly get on with my housemates after a while (come on, 1 maths, 3 english, 1 classics? Get real...) But I still loved Cooks =]

hey, one of my best friends from uni is a mathematician! We lived together in Year 2  Therefore quite clearly not all Classicists/Englishists are opposed to those of you who can number-crunch

oh and btw I booked my flights for October

Fair point! It was more the fact that the number of hours I had was pretty much the total of all of theirs put together =/ They got to know each other really well, and I got left on the sidelines with being at lectures (or at least on campus) from 10-4 every day =/

And YAY! Do you still need somewhere to stay?

 just for 2 nights I reckon though - Wednesday & Thursday 28 and 29 Oct

And yeah, can see your point there...in my third year I lived with a load of lawyers and engineers so it was fairly quiet most of the time!!

Righty-o =] I've asked my housemates, so when they reply I shall let you know =)

Just as a mention to people who might be a bit worried now...Even though I didn't get on particularly well with my flatmates (who are living together now...), my housemates are all from my halls, and they're my best friends =]
