A level Physics

Is a-level physics hard and do you need to take a-level maths with it? I am considering to take the aqa specification and heard it is more in depth than gcse - which makes it easier to understand for me as my physics teacher already teaches some a-level to the class so we understand the topic better. I do enjoy the subject but many people say they do not and it would be too hard for them at a-level. What is it really like?
Thank You

It is difficult but not excessively so. You don't need maths with it, the course is designed so it's not necessary and the AQA book has chapters specifically on maths.
Keep in mind a lot of uni courses that require physics will also require maths.
