Yes, I know "lose weight". I am but it takes a lot of time and I've been single for so long, I lose motivation to take care of myself. I can't pause living for a year and then resume after I lose weight.
I'm sure some overweight people have partners, but the lack of self confidence that usually comes with being overweight will almost certainly put people off.

This.
If you’re not comfortable with how you look a girl is going to pick up on it straight away.
Plus being healthy is a good thing why would you not want that?

I am losing weight but it takes a lot of time as I've a lot of weight to lose. I meant 'pause living' as many people suggest to first lose weight and then find someone.

What’s the rush to find someone though? Just enjoy being single and working on yourself then enter the dating market as your improved self in a year or so.

Lose weight
Getting a GF is the motivation surely for you? or how about not getting cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer? Is that not motivation?
How can you be there for a girl if you "lose motivation to take care of -yourself-"? You have to try and take care of yourself before you can add another person into your life. Try to lose a bit of weight and also be confident and use other positives about yourself to make you feel more confident when trying to find someone. I know someone who is dating a guy who's a little overweight and she finds it cute or something? So I guess *some* people will not mind and others may not mind after getting to know you. x
