With the danger of the governmmt falling apart and us not getting the Brexit we voted for is there anyway we can leave before March 30th 2019?
Even if it means leaving with no deal it’s better than having our Brexit effectively watered down or stopped.
Could we just simply cut all ties tomorrow?

    It’s something we must do.

    Any other ideas?

There are plenty of options but there does not exist the will in government to implement them. For example:

    1. The British Parliament can simply repeal the six EU treaties, and should anyway. That gets us out immediately without involvement by the EU. Will those 454 MP’s implement the wishes of the people?

    2. Declare the six treaties null and void under the British Constitution. Teresa May could do that on her own.

I am always curious as to why the concept of leaving the EU is more important in the minds of Brexiteers than the hell that will rain down upon the UK if no deal is done. I mean - have you actually taken a moment to think through what will happen if we leave with no deal? Customs will need to be implemented which means that imports / exports will be held up at our borders. For a bit of context, we import 60% of all our food so prices at the supermarket will go up. So too will fuel and that in turn will impact on food prices. Then there is the small issue of the fact that half of all our exports go to Europe and many of those go via Rotterdam further afield. They are going to be held up in customs meaning a bureaucratic nightmare for the companies who export their goods. And in time, UK companies will be less attractive to EU customers because getting our products to the EU will be so cumbersome. And then on a practical level, flying into / out of the EU is going to be worse for UK travellers because we will no longer be allowed to breeze through the EU door. Instead we will be required to queue up for additional checks at the international arrivals bit.

It is all very well having a nice fuzzy feeling of being free of the conceptual thing that is the EU, but why are Brexiteers completely unconcerned about the nightmare that will hit all of us financially post hard-Brexit?

We could revoke all the EU treaties tomorrow, stop paying money or sending MEPs there, and make the EU an offer of continued free trade, which if they decline we revert to WTO rules.

The problem is it requires passing through our europhile Parliament, and the government only just survived a vote not to commit us to the customs union backstop 307-301 let alone leaving with no concessions.

Ah good old Project Fear at its best there. Doom, gloom, turmoil and chaos. Why is it that EU stooge bloggers/posters assume that we Brits are incapable of resolving any or all of these "problems"?
Really do I care if imports/exports start going through tighter customs? Actuall no. If I want to order goods from the USA I know that it will take a few weeks to arrive and that there will be taxes to pay. Always been the case. The European countries would become the same and we'd soon get used to it. No problem. Along the way we'd actually then perhaps start to establish a good anti drugs and contraband border, the likes of which you see with Australia, Canada and the USA. The country would be immensely better off for much tighter stringent customs checks. The country is currently riddled with drugs and it needs to be stopped. It affects us all and impacts us all very negatively.

Again why do you so negatively assume that companies can not resolve these "problems"? How does the USA manage? It exports a great deal of it's food produce and imports a lot of goods.
Project Fear really is just about spreading worry and listign problem after problem with the assumption that nothing can be resolved. Sorry but this is Britain. Getting through problems is what Brits do well. It's what British companies do well. Resolve, determination, perseverence.

Yes, prices will go up. But with that will finally come the nationwide realisation that if you undermine your own local trades people and manufacturers by importing cheap crap from abroad, then you simply lay the foundations for a weak country with all the life changing problems that come with it which we are now seeking to undo and put right.

Why does the UK have very little manufacturing? Because people across the country didn't understand or value local manufcaturing and its importance to a nation. They were happy stroling into the supermarket to buy a crappy pair of jeans for £3 that were sewn up by some poor kid in India. They were happy strolling into Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons to buy cheap fruit, vegetables and other goods which turn out to have been transported half way around the globe, are poor quality, tasteless crap. In the process we have allowed the greedy supermarkets (many QATAR owned) to put out of business all of our former high quality trades like Butchers, Bakers, Greengrocers. Our dairy farms have been so "leaned on" by these conglomerates that every last penny of profit has been squeezed out of the farmers hands and transferred to the supermarkets. Along the way we've also lost just about all of the "real" RAW MILK dairies, the milk that still has all of it's important nutrients.

The hearts and minds of British people need to change. We need to understand how we arrived at the hopeless situation we are in, why manufacturing disappeared, why local trades disappeared. It's because we chose "cheapness" over quality and sustainability and didn't see the wider impact that such decisions would have. That has to change and be reversed. Once we leave the EU we will need to once more establish strong manufacturing. And YES, this will mean I pay more for things, and YES, it IS right that I do so because there are far longer reaching reasons for "buying British" instead of importing cheap crap. We ALL have a responsibility to preserve our country and our local jobs by buying local.

The need to leave the EU is NOT a "nice fuzzy feeling of being free of the conceptual thing that is the EU". It is the realistation that our fundamental freedoms and rights and values and traditions have been pushed aside and now stand on a knife edge. The potential loss of Habeas Corpus in favour of Corpus Juris for example. These are areas of sacred ground which the EU are wanting to run roughshod over.

The EU Treaties are imo, illegal and unconstitutional. We must restore the British Constitution as a priority, properly codeify it into one document and put on trial all those who have had a hand in selling this country down the river to foreign powers for their own profitable gain. Trial for Treason.

Unfortunately 80% of the UK's workforce is in the Services industry rather than Products/Manufacturing and Services are not part of the WTO rules. So something would have to change there. Perhaps it could change. It would flip everything on its head if it did. Like you, I believe we must cut and run no matter what. We will never get another chance.

The governments, whether Tory or Labour or Lib Dem are ALL just EU governments imho. Doesn't matter which you vote for, they are ALL of them working FOR The EU and furthering the EU agenda. So has it been since Ted Heath started the whole fraudulent process in the 70s. Every government since, whether Tory or Labour, has continued to further the EU agenda, drafting and pushing through each successive EU Treaty to seal the fate of the country's population without ever giving them a referendum on such life impacting changes. It is a priority therefore that the sham 2 party political system which creates the ILLUSION of choice, is disbanded and a real free choice vote is implemented. Unfortunately, he who controls the media, controls the hearts and minds of the populous. Currently the media moguls have engaged in a huge dumbing down process to keep people stupified, engrossed in facile distractions like reality TV shows, soaps and Jeremy Kyle ! Whilst the dumb saps sit there entranced their rights and freedoms are quietly removed from under their feet. It is a poor situation the country finds itself in at the hands of these villains. The whole Common Purpose system of control needs to be rooted out and washed away.

It's true, but the single market still after 40 years doesn't have a comprehensive agreement on services. For most services businesses (except perhaps financial) you can operate fine without one.

I believe we could make the UK far more attractive by deregulating time-wasting EU laws, lower taxes where possible and be like Singapore with deals across the world.

I've concluded the only way to reform the system is to allow the people to directly override parliament on any vote when enough people engage through direct democracy.

Declare war on Germany. The USA would love us for it because they could sell tons more weapons. We'd get kicked out completely. Other countries would remember the world wars and side with us. We'd have WW3 and no more EU in no time at all.

Interesting that you are comparing us to the US. We aren't the US. We aren't as self reliant as the US and neither are we able to be self reliant. Also, what is this anti-drugs Eutopia you talk about in the US and Australia? The last time I looked, drugs are awash in both countries - just like in the UK. And as for customs. I don't think you actually appreciate just how bad it will be. Much of the stuff you buy on Amazon and similar comes from EU distribution centres. Amazon and companies like that have built their reputation on 1-day delivery. Personally I love that. You seem to be happy to go back to the days where everyone bough stuff from catalogues and waited two weeks for their stuff. I don't that. Why do I want to go backwards.

I'm not fear-mongering. The threats of Brexit are very real. And there is no Brexiteer who is yet to give any answers to how those problems should be solved. You probably don't remember the 80s when the entire coal industry shut down over teh course of 10 years. That could potentially happen to our motor manufacturing and aerospace industry. And all you can do is call me a doom-sayer. Its pathetic. And for what? Some mythical sense of self-governance the likes of which we have never actually had ever?

Meanwhile, back at home, crime is on the up, the NHS and Education on the verge of crisis. And all you can talk about is how it doesn't matter if whole industries go under as long as we aren't ruled from Brussels, forgetting of course that we will be at the mercy of Brussels even more post Brexit.
