Tooth filling/s advice needed

So I went to the dentist today and they said that I have to get my filling re-done because it’s loose.What’s the point of doing this if my tooth doesn’t hurt from it having a loose filling,there’s no advantage of getting my filling re-done in my opinion am I right?
If it’s loose, it’s likely it will come out soon. Then it will HAVE to be redone relatively quickly, so it’s easier to get it done now while they can book a convenient appointment.

Im not 100% sure but theres always a risk of your tooth becoming infected if the filling is loose/not properly done. It may not hurt now but it could always hurt in the future bc of this and having an infected tooth/filling is honestly the worst.
With the filling being loose it is most likely going to fall out soon and that will expose the tooth to infection so it is best to get the tooth refilled.
