    Hey there,

I'm going into my 3rd year of my art degree and I'm struggling to settle on my theme for this year... the theme this year would carry on, and also ideally be research for my dissertation next year.
I usually paint women as the main focus. Im also interested in psychology (mainly Carl Jung's theories, especially on personality types), what makes us who we are, documentaries about murderers, mental health issues (schizophrenia, etc). I would like to merge my other interests with my art, but I'm struggling to write a proposal that is focused and not just all over the place. If anyone had any ideas, I would be super grateful.

    Thanks

Have you maybe got a book with your interests within that you can use as a focus? I used a mythology on mine and stuck to one story ( it got boring fast after doing a few months on it) So do something you know you wont get board of and that you can get a lot of work out of it.

To try to link it to personality types I'd probably do detailed paintings with vague shapes that include feminime features and id do them to mimic the style of the cards that criminal therapists used to use with their patients, u know the ones where there's different shapes and they ask what each person sees? Well I'd like the colours to emotions and possibly study each colours symbolism in depth,
