I'm nearly 21 and I haven't led a healthy active lifestyle and have had poor mental life. If I change myself now, is it too late to avoid any potential future health issues such as diabetes and cancer?

it's never too late to start looking after your health. the sooner you start, the better your health will be in the future.

of course you can, and even if you couldn't avoid it you could certainly avoid making the risk worse

Diabetes can be reversed in most instances as well, and changing one's lifestyle to healthier options is always recommended! Also, good for you!

Congrats on getting to a place where you can do all of those things! Recovering from a place of poor mental health can be really difficult, so well done for getting there and asking for advice
