Yes. It bloody hurts.
DEAR GOD IT IS PAINFUL!!!

DO NOT DO IT!

Just shave until you've got enough cash to have it waxed, or try it again with the DIY waxing - I always find that veet strips work well
I'm incapable of DIY waxing, I just get wax stuck to my skin without removing any hairs at all. But when I attempting epilating, it was really really painful. For the very outer edges, it's not too bad, so long as you hold the skin taut, but as you move in, it becomes reeeeally unpleasant!

I epilated my entire bikini line once (save for my labia, was rely scared of getting skin caught..and well...ouch!). I was incredibly painful...but lasted ages!! And it's cheaper than waxing! I meant to keep it up, but I don't have the time.
Try it?

Yes, I have done it. YOu need to be exceptionally brave. I suggest you try a hair removing cream (sensitive) and use that. Don not leave it on too long, or use normal. I did and burn my bits and kerist having a wee hurts then!

Hair removal cream is crap, but for temporary use i spose its alright until you can get some money together then just get it waxed professionally... Epliators hurt :frown:
Well, I may not be a girl, but someone i know tried this and it went wrong and lots of wax lumps were left on her... she had to scrub them off with a scouring pad, lol.

ok so this prob wont happen to you.

What's your pain threshold like?!? I've done it a few times before, but it is painful & could only manange just my bikini line. Maybe take some painkillers before hand? And have lots of soothing lotion at hand for afterwards.

You know what, i found that veet stuff was awful, worse than shaving i'd say and it gave me a rash. I have an epilator but i'm too scared to use it lol.

Give it a try and see what you think.
I don't think it's THAT bad. Yeah it's painful - but it's totally worth it coz it lasts sooo long!

Epilating is much easier, less painful (not much, but a tiny bit) and less messy than waxing, imo. Like with waxing, you kind of get used to the pain.
But to be hair free for awhile, it's worth it

yeah I use hair removal cream quite often but it just makes it grow back stubbly, which isn't nice.

Hmm I might attempt the epilating
I do it but I can't bear to do it very regularly 'cos it hurts a lot.

I just did it for the first time today... Hurt so much! ... take Nurofen an hour before... even if you are getting it waxed... & be really careful... Your bits can get caught... or even torn in it!!! :O

I've done it before and I didn't find it hurt that much. Just pull it taut and go. Your skin gets used to it. My problem is that I always got ingrown hairs when it came back :frown: I just don't bother anymore.

Yeah, I epilate my bikini line quite often (not the sensitive parts, though :afraid:) It works pretty well, although I've found that the hairs seem to have their own schedules and don't grow back at the same time, so I have to do it quite often. Make sure you exfoliate well to avoid ingrowns, I use the mitts that you can buy form Boots or Superdrug for a few quid. Oh, and don't use any strong, thick creams afterwards, because they will block the pores, the best thing I've found is aloe vera gel and a bit of diluted tea tree oil every day after that.

I'm currently looking in to sugaring for the same area, has anyone had any luck with that? It's supposed to be more gentle and less painful than waxing. I was considering getting this: http://www.sugarstripease.com/
