Hi to everyone reading this! so I think you're supposed to start these GYGs at the beginning of the year, but I don't believe in that new year new me nonsense - why not start now!

About Me
My name is Anna, I'm 15 and I'll be going into year 11 after the summer (yikes ) so I'm here to get my life together before that happens.

My main field of interest is languages! I love learning languages, and want to be multilingual in the future and possibly study a language degree in university. I come from german parents, so as you would expect i'm quite good at it

In my free time I like socialising with friends, listening to music, tv + movies, and art!

GCSE Subjects

Maths (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 7 WANT: 8

Statistics (Edexcel): TARGET GRADE: A WANT: A

English Literature (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 7 WANT: 9

English Language (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 6 WANT: 9

Chemistry (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 7 WANT: 8

Biology (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 6 WANT: 9

Physics (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 6 WANT: 8

German (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 7 WANT: 9

Computer Science (OCR): TARGET GRADE: 6 WANT: 9

Art (AQA): TARGET GRADE: 7 WANT: 9

Our target grades are based on the minimum expected grades we're predicted to get, so I'm aiming a lot higher! my goals are definitely inflated, but let me dream!!

Year 10 End of year mocks

English Literature: 7
English Language: 8
Chemistry: 5
Biology: 6
Physics: 7
German: 9
Computer Science: 9
Art: 9

Thoughts? Definitely could have done better. I had my actual Statistics GCSE around this time so I was too busy focusing on that rather than my mocks....Did all of my revision the night before the exam, lol. I gotta work on chemistry for sure.

A Level Plans

I definitely plan on taking:

A Level German
A Level Modern History
A Level Biology

and possiblyyyy either Business or Economics? but idk yet.

About my blog
I decided to make my own GYG so that I hopefully stay focused and feel more motivated to revise...even if I just have an audience of one person
I'm sure you can tell I spent a long time trying to make this colourful, so let's hope I can remember to keep this active heh.

I'll be posting:
  • Daily posts of what I did/revision (here's me thinking i'm gonna be productive everyday)
  • Notes, mindmaps, revision techniques and such
  • Exam results
  • Lists
  • Resources

I hope you choose to stick around!

Have you thought of doing another language, let's say French? instead of biology perhaps? since you seem be struggling a little bit - not that I'm discouraging you at all! even I did a science in A Levels and it was a little bit hard and I've heard that Biology is pretty much complicated at that level so just think twice before picking your A Levels. Oh and I did both Business and Economics at A Level and what I'd have to say is that there's just too much to keep track of and remebr but if you're the type if person who can memorize and remember huge contents or understand logical subjects, these are perfect for you!

I didn't do quite well in AS Level (June 2017) and got DD for both these subjects - even in IGCSE (DD) but then I decided to re-sit my exams for Business and Economics (November 2017) and in Business I moved from a D to B •••••• and in Economics I moved from a D to C.

So it all depends on how well you understand the subject and how "friendly" the questions are.

*** one major tip I've given to several people is to ALWAYS make notes using the syllabus and then UNDERSTAND and MEMORIZE all those notes since you'll be storing all the responses to the syllabus objectives into your brain - that way you won't have worry about coming across irrelevant concepts in the exam ***

● just remember... If it isn't in the syllabus then it won't be on the exam ●

PS: I just finished my A Levels last month (Business, Economics and Chemistry)
