What should I do?

I don't think this is the right part of the forum to place this thread in, but I wasn't sure where to put it. I've found out that my exams finish on the 20th of June... my older sister who is at drama school in Dublin is doing her huge showcase on the 21st of June. I live abroad, but this situation would be fine as I can fly out with my mum after my exam to see her perform, especially since I haven't seen her perform since she finished school 3 years ago and that also means that we can stay in Ireland for most of July.

BUT, if I go, that means I will miss my last school prom and my friend's birthday... normally I would definitely miss this and go to Dublin, as the school proms are usually crap and well my friend has a birthday every year obviously... but I feel confused this time as this is my last prom and wonder whether I will regret not going to it... also concerning my friends, we're all going our separate ways off to univeristy this year (or in my case, on my year out in Stratford-upon-Avon), which means I won't be able to spend time with them as we're hardly going to be hanging out a lot during the exam period... but if I don't go to Dublin, that means I'll have to spend my whole summer here where the weather is very humid and there's not much to do...

Like I said, I feel very confused about everything... this year seems to be full of neverending decisions! What do you think?

I say go to the prom - surely your sister wouldn't mind you attending your last ever school formal? Even if they usually are awful it's the LAST. EVER. ONE.

I would go to prom as I probably wouldnt get to see many of the people again. It is up to you though. :smile:

I'd say go to the prom, surely your sister will understand that its your last and possibly the last time you will see some of the people you went to college with before going to uni.

It's just that I'm so close to my sister and I really want to support her... I'd feel guilty if I didn't go. Especially since if I don't go then, I won't be able to go at all... argh why do these things always come up around the same time?
