Self harm scars + Clinical placement

Hi,

I'm going into 3rd year in September and I have some self-harm scars on one of my wrists. They are from about 5 years ago and are 6/7 white lines that are fairly noticeable if you look at my wrist.
I was wondering if this will be a problem in placements with my sleeves rolled up and if I should try to cover them ?

Thank you

Well what’s your placement doing because if you’re in the medical field then long sleeves are a complete no no. If your placement is less medical then look at foundations you could wear to hide the scar marks. Once you graduate look into tattoo scar cover ups. Make sure to find a scar specialist as scar tissue can be very difficult to tattoo over
Ignore people telling you to cover it up. Why cover up what is you. You look at those scars every day and remember what you did. When you forget about things you are more likely to make the same mistake. Anyways I can't judge your situation with only what you have told us.

If it is for specific work- then it seems fine to temporarily cover it up.

TL;DR - you can't cover them because bare below the elbows, but people probably won't notice anyway, and even if they do they're very unlikely to comment. Don't stress
