MSc Psych Conversion distance learning? MMU/BCU?

Has anybody done a MSc Psychology conversion through distance learning?

My BSc Psychology is NOT BPS accredited, so will an MSc conversion through distance learning DEFINITELY give eligibility for GBC?

I'm torn between Manchester Met and Birmingham....

Man Met fees are slightly higher and it's also low on league tables

Birmingham fees are 7900 and the psych department is 7th on league table

Hi there,

If your course is listed on the BPS website as an accredited degree that gives you eligibility for GBC then you will definitely give you eligibility as long as you pass.

I don't have the financial means to study towards one yet but I have my eye on the Birmingham City Uni one as it does seem to be cheaper than competing courses (Liverpool charges Β£18k????!), and the module selection sounds great.

I personally never really look at league tables, but if that's something that's important to you then would you regret opting for a department that's lower on the list than your alternative?

It is difficult as there aren't really many accounts of people's experiences with online learning. I would love to know where your thoughts are now!
You can find out whether a course is accredited on the BPS website:

https://www.bps.org.uk/public/become-psychologist/accredited-courses?type=CONV

It looks like both BCU and MMU have accredited conversion courses
