Hi,
My name is Brooke. I have just currently sat A Levels in English Literature, History and Religious Studies. Currently on my summer break, I am interested in helping others with these subjects. I am hopefully going to study Law at the University of Oxford, although I wish I had chosen to do English Literature instead.
Although I am waiting on my results to come through, my grades in English Literature were always A/A*. I studied for the AQA exam, my set texts including Othello, Wuthering Heights, The Handmaid's Tale and A Streetcar Named Desire. However, if I have read the book(s) that you have questions about, I am more than happy to help you with those too. NB: I have also studied Frankenstein and 1984 for my independent coursework so can also help with those!
I am offering to help you via e-mail or perhaps Skype, if that is easier for you. I am happy to read over essays, provide my own essays and also go through some essay-writing techniques I used during my time studying.
If anybody is interested, please send me a private message on here and we shall arrange to e-mail etc.
Thank you,
Happy Reading,
Brooke

One of my dreams is to have a career in law aswell! i would love to go to Oxford however i doubt that is going to happen judging how my gcses went.

I'm not choosing history because i did not so it at GCSE and we are not allowed to choose it if we d if not do the gcse. Is it still possible for me to do something law based?

One thing I struggle with at the moment is writing essays. I would really appreciate any structure advice you have, what to include in the paragraphs and maybe timing too! I am also on AQA and am doing Othello and The Handmaid's tale. Any advice would help massively, as I am applying to UCL and I am working to achieving an A/A*

I struggle with structure too as my teacher doesn't teach us the structure and just tells us to read A* essays to help structure our essays, which intimidate us more than helping us.
I'm doing Gatsby and Othello.
HELP...

Firstly, that’s incredibly kind of you to help us all out!

Secondly, unfortunately the only text that I can currently relate to is The Handmaid’s Tale. So I was wondering, what where you given in the exam to do in re: to THT, and what effective study methods did you use prior to the exam?

Much appreciated.

Hello, I have just started my AS year and am studying Othello. I really need help with the structure of the essay, I understand the AOs but I don't know how to incorporate it to make my essay flow.

Hi, i’m currently doing my GCSEs, hoping to move onto english lit in college. I’d like some help with structures and making my work more advanced. I have gotten 9’s previously I just want to definitely secure that! I’m free to talk over skype too
I'm pretty sure the OP wasn't offering GCSE help. Why do you ask for it?
