How does it expand by taking P?

You are already committed to languages.

Have a play about with this.

Which course?

It’s just I have a lot of people telling me the same thing; Languages are a dead end and I’d have a better career if I pursue Psychology.

I’m very confused in all honesty.

You should pursue something you want to do. Where you have talent and can get high grades.

Psychology as a degree comes in with some of the lowest average salaries per student.

Good A level grades get you into better unis and access to better jobs.

If you are capable of AAA or greater then get that and into a better uni.

Normally P courses require a science or Maths.

I believe some people are speaking rubbish to you.

In an ideal world I’d like to study German and Spanish at Uni, I love languages and it was only due to things out of my control that I didn’t get to do them at GCSE.

Then maybe go for Eng Lit? I would assume the skills you learn there in analyzing and understanding texts will be useful in your degree, as I am sure you will have to read literary works and not just learn the languages.

Okay looking at that makes me feel better.

I’ve always found languages are the one thing I’m good at without too much effort and I love learning them.

You raise a very good point.

Since seeing that a language degree wouldn’t be a waste I feel a lot more content in specialising in them at A-Level

If you get good grades, then you cna get into a very good uni and then you cna access very good jobs irrespective of subject.

Course I’m very nervous about not having my GCSE and everybody else having theirs, but I imagine after a couple of terms I’ll be on par with everyone else.

Nah I mentioned it in my original thread. I have my EL GCSE, just not in German and Spanish. That’s what I’m nervous about.

Presumably you are good at languages and they wouldnt let you sit them if they werent confident in your language abilities. People that like languages tend to have an aptitude for them all. When Ive looked at the area before then I believe German is the one that offer the highest paying posts. Anyway GL.

Yeah, the long and short of it I levelled with the head of the department and explained why I didn’t have my GCSE’s, and said why would I want to put myself through the hard graph of learning it all in two years if I wasn’t serious? Took a little convincing but I got him to agree haha.

Thanks for your help.
