Loughborough
Interesting. True it has a higher ranking on tables but it's generally not as well known as Newcastle.

Newcastle is well known because the place is well known. In the context of universities, Loughborough is more prestigious

Fair enough, but Ncl's russel group membership for me gives it a tiny lead. Sure it's mostly just branding but for employers they just think Newcastle is a better uni because it's Russel group.

It depends on the course tbh. If it’s something sport or engineering related 110% Loughborough.
Pretty much anything else Newcastle.
I’m from Newcastle originally and live near Loughborough, so if it’s the whole experience you’re looking at and not just the uni please for gods sake go to Newcastle.
Loughborough is depressingly small, there’s bog all there and it’s also close to Leicester which is a million times worse It is however quite close to Nottingham which is a bit better

Bit better?

Nottingham is one of the greatest cities in the world.
Smh what would an Irish lass like you know? Any city in England is better than Ireland's best.

Lol
I’m half Irish I was born in England. I
spend a lot of time in Nottingham as I’m a season ticket holder at their rugby club.

Shocking.
Absolutely shocking.

Born in England and you're gonna put an Irish flag up there on your profile.

I thought I'd seen it all.

Depends what for?
Also people tend to delude themselves about prestige.

Im crooked.
In that case I would say it depends on the course but would say loughborough would only be better if your course is linked to sports and arguably engineering other than that newcastle for sure

Just in a very general sense, like if you had to pick one overall
