trolling is writing fake posts which hold wierd or stupid opinions / ask for the strange advice.

Edit: why is this in h+r? or is there some other meaning of the word which I was also unaware of?

Trolling is making posts in an assumed character to get a reaction from other users.

So in an H+R context, it could be making threads about a problem which doesn't actually exist.

When done well, trolling can be great fun.

Trolling's acceptable at times. If you're pissed off or completely bored, it can be quite fun to wind people up, although there's a point when it does become rather sad, and accusations of "get a life" start getting hurled at the troller.
