has anyone got away with train fair dodging?

I dont drive and the train prices are stupid is there any way you can fair dodge?

As long as you can run faster than the ticket inspector and the cops they call as backup, you win. But they might come from behind you on the train so you won't have much warning.

Depends on the service and times of day. Mainline trains at peak times tend not be checked frequently but they can do spot checks. It's difficult to say whether you'd get away with it. Do they stations have barriers etc.

If you do get caught, there's nowhere for you to really run to and hide. Plus there's plenty of cameras on trains now. If you do get caught and run off, the train conductors won't release the doors at the stations until the police get there and if you try and force the doors, you commit another offence...

Is it really worth ending up with a criminal record over?
