Thank you so much! When do you accept applications from and roughly how long does it take to hear back? My UCAS form and personal statement is all ready to go haha, I'm so excited...but also nervous!

I'm currently studying Politics Economics and History.Currently my predicted grades are 3Bs, however I am hopeful of that going up to 2As or maybe 3.I'm stuck at the moment between applying for international relations and Social and Political Sciences. The main universities I'm looking at are York, Bristol (a long shot), Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham.I'm open to other unis though, I've been a bit slow at looking round....

Out of curiosity, how do ur AS grades and predicted grades differ so much? And of course best of luck with ur application! I imagine your current subjects, history in particular, will be a very useful with a politics and ir degree xx

With maths I had extenuating circumstances as my Grandma died on the day of the exam. I got a high B in English so am predicted half a grade up (A) and my history economics exams were internal and I got high As on both so am being predicted A*A /A*A*

I don’t want to reply on their behalf but I’d imagine Human, Social and Political Sciences, because you are able to specialise in politics and IR

But is it not hard to balance the personal statement in terms of having to also attempt to talk about social anthropology and sociology but also be aware that you’re applying to other universities that that will be irrelevant to?

I was very worried about this when writing my PS because I am applying for HSPS but only p&IR at other unis. After talking to staff they said they understand people will have areas they are more passionate about and that you only get one PS for all your unis. So mine is completely P&IR based but I plan to write a small amount about the other subjects in the SAQ for Cambridge to demonstrate a more rounded interest.

However I am slightly worried if i get through to the interviews because I would massively struggle in an interview mostly about anthropology or sociology.
