looking to become a lawyer in the u.s but don't know how to go about it.

I'm 14 and would like to become a lawyer in the us. I'm fairly certain that the most straight forward route is to just go to America and study in a an American university,as opposed to getting the qualifications in the uk and then having to take extra steps in the u.s in order for me to actually practice as a lawyer in the u.s.My main question is whats the best way to go around going to an American university as soon as I finish school, and if not that then are there any easier options.Maybe I could just study law in the uk and then go on to take the extra steps I ned to in order to work as a lawyer in the u.s?Any info would help.
