Particle Physics and Quantum entanglement. Just generally curious as to how it all works.

If I wasn't doing a biology based degree I would love to have done a Theology/Philosophy and Religion degree! I'm not religious in the slightest but I just find religion so interesting (especially Buddhism) and I love the idea behind questions that can't be answered and I adore ethical theories.

I want to learn Spanish. I did it up to Y9 at school so I can speak quite a lot, but the usefulness of what I actually learned was quite limited. Unless I want to go to Spain and tell them that I have a brother with brown hair and there is a pencil sharpener in my pencil case I'd be quite stuck!

I’d love to do studies linked with geography and more relevant stuff to us as a generation. Not big scale stuff like global warming and stuff, but the stuff people don’t think about. The work of the environment agency, the way they stock rivers with fish and organize flood warnings and responded. Their work is so incredible and so overlooked. I’d love to be an accountant or organizer among them.

This is a Golden Thread, which means you'll have the opportunity to win a £250 Amazon voucher and other prizes if you take part before the 31st of August! :w00t::woo:

We've all surely got one field that we'd like to learn more about, that you may have read about once and seemed very interesting. Most courses and school subjects are quite broad so we usually don't get to just choose the one thing we like the most. So,

What would be the one topic you'd want to study most, be it one that exists or not?

I personally would want to be studying some form of spacecraft design, or engineering in space :moon:. I always get really interested in the idea of space stations and spaceflight. How to build cities in space, different forms of propulsion to achieve the speeds necessary to visit other stars. It seems like something that will end up being pretty important to humanity as a whole. Plus I'd have an excuse to go to space. I'd like that.

Be sure to check out the other golden threads that are around!

1. Post a gif or meme about how you’re feeling in the run up to results day
2. Find out the song at number one when you were born
3. What is your secret dream job?
4. Share essential advice for those starting their A-levels
5. If you could study anything what would you choose?
6. Dear teacher.....
7. What would you send to Room 101?
8. What is your first memory of school?
9. Which celebrity would you choose to become Prime Minister?
10. Which GCSE subject would you ban and why?
Singing or voice studies. I loved singing at school so much, and i had vocal lessons when i studied music and i absolutely loved them. I wouldn't want to do singing or music as a career but if i could study it for fun or enjoyment i would like that.

Vet med was a dream, still is but will never be.

SO I’d love to be able to study the art of not giving a fak when there is none to be required. I care too much, and overthink. Would be nice to just say **** it and move on.

Other than that. Genetics with the idea of creating fantasy creatures. But not like werewolves and ****. I’m talking Toothless and Eevee’s galore.

The meaning of dreams fascinates me as well, how the subconscious plays things out. I may as well be on crack for what I dream so I can’t possibly comprehend what is going on in my head.
