Choices: Oxford, Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton, Durham.

Mocks: Alright, I had a few difficulties near mocks (long story short, I was noticed to be an at risk individual 10 days before the first exam, got put on meds etc) but AABC (not that they’re bad, they’re just not what I could have got).

Predictions: A*A*A*A (Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Maths). They obviously took exenuating circumstances into account.

GCSE grades: Again, exenuating circumstances but worse since I was identified as at risk but received no support. A*A*77AAAA5D (A*s in chem and physics, one A is Biology early entry, 5 in Language, D in German). Not bad, some of (if not the best) results at my school. Also my first choice says they don’t really look at GCSEs heavily (even though it’s Oxford) and people have gotten in with 4A*/A grades (I have 8), so the circumstances don’t matter too much.

Choices: Oxford, Bristol, Southampton, Birmingham, Durham.

Extracurriculars: Not got many other than gym going, I like sports when I get the chance... video games and reading. Also planning on doing volunteering.

Not applying for any other course (unless the industry part of Bristol’s chem course counts)
Weheyyy Chemistry applicants!

University choices: Cambridge, Durham, Nottingham, Bristol, Edinburgh

What subject(s) are currently studying?: Chemistry, Physics, Further Maths (Maths achieved at A*)

Mock grades/ AS grades: AAA

Predicted A2 grades: A*A*A*

GCSE grades: 999A*A*A*AB

Extracurriculars etc: I play a lot of sports (mostly lacrosse and American football with school), did an EES project with Surrey Satellites for Industrial Cadet Gold Award, won a trip to NASA (again with school), 3x Gold in BChO (but never second round, yet!), 2x Gold + Roentgenium in C3L6, Roentgenium residential at Camridge (which was amazing and made me fall in love w chem at Cambridge), did NCS last summer, and my school run a lot of internal projects bc they do Project-Based Learning (which is super effective and I don't know why every school doesn't teach through projects!)

Applying for any other courses too (a mixture of courses?): NatSci, NatSci, Chem, Chem, Chem...

Any other NatScis on here looking at chem atm? I worry that chemistry is too much the central science so NatScis and students generally learn it on the way to biology or as an offshoot of physics, but never so much for the sake of chemistry itself D:
University choices: Cambridge, Nottingham, York, Durham, St Andrews (but I'm only applying for Chem at St Andrews :colondollar:)

Currently studying: A-levels in Maths, FM, Chem, Physics

AS Grades: AAAA

Predicted: A*A*A*A*

GCSEs: 8A*s, 77, 2As and B

Extracurriculars: cba to type it up

Also applying for: NatSci

I only know myself irl who's applying for NatSci and Chem. :dontknow: Yeah, most people shoot for bio/physics but I find chem is better for me because I can do bits of both bio and physics (although NatSci does that anyway but in more depth)
University choices: Cambridge (Natural Sciences) Durham, Warwick, Imperial, Lancaster

Currently studying: A-levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry

AS Grades: AAA

Predicted: A*A*A*

GCSEs: A*A*A*A*AAAAA

Extracurriculars: N/A
Got some offers! AB for Bristol and AA for Edinburgh second-year entry. Still hoping for Cambridge, but I'm glad I've got some back-up now  Only two A-levels because I've got an A-level in maths, AS FM and an EPQ so I guess they're reducing the offer. Plus extenuating circumstances in the Bristol offer apparently.

Anyone else got any Chem offers?

(I applied on 3/10, Ed offer on 12/10 and Bristol on 15/10. Waiting on Durham, Nottingham and Cambridge.)
