Now I am aware these aren't accurate and could be far off the real grade boundaries, however I want to share what our school used for mock grade boundaries and am interested in what other schools used.

These following subjects are:
Aqa triple science (Biology, chemistry, physics)
Edexcel B geography
Edexcel english language
Edexcel english literature
Edexcel maths

-As for my school, the triple science grade boundaries were the same throughout (124/200 for a 7. 150ish for an 8, 160-170ish for a 9).
-Geography was odd however around 60% was a 5 and 70% was a 6 (which seemed harsh as most of our year got a 4 which is not aligned to the % of people who should achieve each grade)
-English language and literature were a few marks increased from last year. so around 106/160 for a 6 and 120ish/160 for a 7- similar for both)
-Maths was also a few marks increase from last year. with around 130 being a 7 and an 8 being around 165

If you take any of those subjects with the same exam board I would be interested to know what your school used for the year 11 mocks and would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Geography seems much better than ours, hopefully it's low

Honestly that's what our school did too. Hopefully it isn't that much of an increase in the real exams though.

On paper, 62.5% for a 7 doesn't sound too bad. How did you find your gcse exams for geography?

Our school made that as a bold prediction of the worst-case scenario. However, we have no real idea. In an apocalyptic scenario, a boundary could go up by 20 marks - there is no limit to the extent of their increase or decrease. The wildest increase I have seen before is 15 marks for an A* from June 2015 to June 2016. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

I did not sit GCSE geography.

General question, does everyone reckon grade boundaries will be relatively low considering we're the first year for most subjects?
