Kings College Canterbury, boarding life

I have just finished my GCSE's and I am considering applying to Kings College. I was wondering what the boarding life is like, what the routine is, going out on the weekends, privs and exeats. How much freedom do Sixth form students receive? I am also wondering what the standard of teaching and how academically focused the school is.

I really hope someone can give an in-depth response as this is an important decision. Many thanks.
If you have just finished your GCSEs I think you have left it too late, unless you already have a place for September and are trying to decide whether to take it.

The deadline for registering is the October before you want to go, and the entrance exam is in the November.
