Actually in places like Israel and other places with populations of ordinary Jews, many Jews live in poverty like any other race or religion!

I think the difference is that by following the rules of their religion, many Jews have a very good work ethic meaning they are likely to put lots of work in. In the same way many religious families from other faiths encourage children to work hard!
