Cartilage piercing

I got my cartilage pierced a week ago today and it is still swollen and sore to move. It is also quite itchy after moving it. Is this normal?

Yes, it's only been a week. Can take 3-6 months for piercings to heal depending on where they are. I got my tragus pierced over two months ago and that hasn't healed yet.

Had my helix done like 4 months ago and it still bleeds from time to time and gets irritated so you’re fine

It's usually normal for piercings to be swollen after a few weeks (I don't know about helix/cartilage but my nose was definitely like this). Think about it - It's a foreign piece of metal being shoved into the skin so your body will react :smile:
