We're looking at US black civil rights for our coursework and I'm doing to what extent the North was better than the South.
I'm really struggling to find any primary sources for it. Does anyone know where I can find any?

Thanks!

I would have thought there would be information overload.

The idea is fine but you should develop it.

Dont forget things arent always black and white and they wont be better in every sense.

Thank you so much!
I would develop it if we were allowed but my teacher had set questions/statements that we had to pick from. Maybe I'll approach him about this. Thanks again.

It sounds a bit primitive to me.
If it was set by the teacher then you cant change it but you can discuss in your introduction how you are going to go about your investigation and what you mean by better. It will go two ways and it wont always be one sided.
