Accommodation after first year.

Question: Can anyone please tell me their experience with accommodation after the first year?

Do you mean for an undergrad course? You posted in the postgrad forum but as most masters courses are 1 year long you'll get very different replies.

I went to Durham and lived in college for years 1 and 4, and lived out for years 2 and 3.

What sort of things are you concerned about?

My main concern is mainly with the process in finding a house outside of University Halls. Do you literally have to go house hunting. Or is there any advice/tips to make that process more efficient?
