The Student Room Group

Am i making a big mistake

I got ABB in my A-levels and hold an unconditional offer from southampton for aerospace engineering. I am thinking of staying home and studying in london at queen mary instead for the same course. Southampton is way better for my course. Will studying at queen mary effect my future career in a negative way?
Hi @A380mar

If you think Southampton is better why are you now questioning staying at home? It sounds like you think Southampton is the right choice.

Which uni has better links with industry, facilities and student satisfaction survey results? You can look on their websites and compare their graduate salaries for the course, but statistics wont really answer your question. Your degree is often what you make it, if you take advantage of all the opportunities on offer from your university, make connections and get good work experience you will succeed.

Remember you will be at your chosen university for 3 to 5 years - it has to be a good fit for you.
