It would be helpful but not everywhere offers it so it may not be a definite requirement. Where are you thinking of applying to?

Monash in Australia offers it as Aerospace Engineering.

I met the representatives of Monash University in a university fair. Initially I too didn't find anything but when I asked them they said that they offer it as Aerospace Engineering.
I will again go through their web site and let you know if i find something.

I can't really find their requirements but I cannot see it being a prerequisite given that not everywhere offers it. If you're really doubting it you can contact the university directly. The course page is here
