How does gcse results day work?

I've never been to results day in year 9 and 10, but this year I am going. How does it work, how is it structured and what time do you have to reach your school? Thanks
It varies for each school.

I suggest you check your school's website, they'll have the details.

I'm coming in at 10, picking it up in my diner hall and usually everyone either opens it out there or on the playground.
Typically you’d go into your hall and there’d be rows of tables with envelopes and teachers/volunteers/invigilators on. One table would be labelled A-C surnames it something like that. This may vary form school to school but just find yer damn table and from there you can ask for your envelope. Timings vary a huge amount. Some schools open between 7-9 usually (mine at 9.30am) but it’s best to be on the safe side and check your school’s website. If you’re not sure, text a friend or turn up at 10-11ish. Good luck for your results!! I know I’m bricking it!
