Why my private area hurts

I’m a guy and I’m 15 and I thought why not shave my pubes so.. I did and then realised it started to itch and hurt so I read on here that it does itch and hurt the first time but then also say you should shave the way the hair growth is and I wasn’t paying attention but i shaved up to my chest not down so I really messed up there and also saw u can get ingrown hairs from shaving and you should just trim and then thought my hair is curly so wouldn’t I get lots of them... what do I do I’m really scared and worried I keep looking down there and so far it just got red in spots and I saw a little spot and I think it was ingrown hair maybe I saw people said leave them alone it can disappear please help... also i havnt told my mum or dad or anyone yet.
Leave it.

Why do you think you are gay??

Well ever since I got to high school I look at guys and there hot and I watched this gay porn and I couldn’t resist. And I have a friend I actually talk to about this and she is amazing but sometimes I love girls like so much but then changes to guys and I image them naked but I guess I’m bi not gay but I’m happy no matter what
you'll be fine. sounds like some aloe vera gel could come to the rescue here. it's nice you have such a close relationship with your parents that you can tell them about your pubic shaving habits  but how would it help exactly if you told them? just wait a few days and it will be ok xx

It's fine, just irritation. Leave it alone and it will sort itself out soon enough. If it's really itchy you can also put on some stuff to soothe it like aloe vera. If you aren't sure what to use just ask at a pharmacy.
Ingrown hairs can happen, but aren't a big deal. They sometimes hurt, but they should sort themselves out eventually and if not you can carefully pull the end of the hair out with tweezers then either pluck it out or shave it off/ leave it to grow out. Don't worry about any of that for now though. Just leave your body to sort out the irritation and try not to poke or itch it.

You don't have to involve your parents at all. If you want to get something soothing to put on you can get it from places like tesco or a pharmacy. Just ask a member of staff if you can't find it.

As far as your questioning being gay goes, it's totally fine either way. All it is is being attracted to boys over girls. It won't affect your puberty or anything like that. Some people just reach stages like voice changing later tan others.

Hope that helps

Doctors visits are confidential. If you don't want your parents to know all you need to do is book an appointment then "go shopping" or "for a walk" or to "meet friends". Parents don't know you've seen the doctor so aren't going to ask about it and doctor isn't going to tell them you visited.

If you're not keen on seeing a doctor though you could try using an electric razor, wet shaving, trimming close to the skin but not shaving fully, using plain moisturisers etc. Just have a Google of techniques to prevent irritation when shaving. If the dry skin issue is only happening after shaving that suggests something about shaving is causing the issue so change it up, see if you can find what's causing it and if you can than means you can just stop doing that and don't need to see the doctor.

Also it's generally best to avoid using products on your private parts so if you are using anything g atm like when you shower or shave see how it goes without that. Privates have sensitive skin which is more easily irritated and dried out than the rest of the body.
