Hi. I sat the Scottish Nat 5 French last year and I got an A (98%) however did not take it for Higher as I was taking other subjects. Had a change of heart and thinking of taking it up for the next academic year. I an considering applying for English Universities with French as part of the course. Some of them require Advanced Higher French. Can I go straight to Advanced Higher French and if I put the work in, how hard is it to get an A pass. Not sure if my school will allow it anyway. Thanks

Well...personally I did nat 5 french and got 98% as well, however the jump up to higher was quite big. Personally I only scraped a low B(63%) in my prelim but did end up with 78% in the final exam-however I had to put in a lot of work. It wasn't easy. I'd look at uni's that don't require it at AH.
Maybe discuss it with your school.

Also with the years break from french you may have forgotten some french
