Supercurriculars for English Literature?

Hey,
So aside from the obvious of reading and analysing books not on the syllabus what can I do that will actually help my application? Also, any decent lit theory books you can recomend?

Short introduction to Literary Theory is a great, slightly complicated, book for lit theory. PM me for my Cambridge general introductory reading lists - more than happy to send that over to you.

Massive Open Online Courses, Taster Lectures - no need to do more than fruitful and engaged reading.
