About to start a BVetMed at the RVC and I cannot for the life of me find a list of the textbooks we need anywhere. I'm sure we'll get given a list soon enough but I'd rather get it sorted.

Anyone happen to know?

You can't find the list because there isn't one, there's no set reading. During lectures (especially at the beginning of each 'strand' (module)) there may be a slide with suggested reading to include textbooks, research papers and websites. In many cases if the suggested reading is an excerpt then a PDF of that particular section of a textbook will be available on our online system.

I'd recommend holding off on getting any books for now. Both of the RVC libraries are very well stocked and you can take up to 10 books out and renew them up to 50 times so it's not necessary to have your own copies, plus even if you do want your own it is a good idea to at least borrow them first so that you know which textbooks you like the most. If you do decide to buy then you can get them cheap from other students, or if you're desperate for new copies then the library can do a bulk order and get a discount.

Best of luck for the start of your studies!
