Shadowing experience advice

So I will be shadowing a doctor in the pediatric ward next week and have no idea what to expect, wear, or bring with me. Any advice?

If you can, bring a notebook and pen to record what you’re observing (even if you can’t record while being with patients you can during breaks!) Also in terms of clothing, dressing formal and smart would be best.

Thank you for the advice, I will definitely bring in a small notebook with me, yeah so maybe just some trousers and a shirt then?

No problem, and yes a shirt and trousers should be fine (just imagine dressing for work). As long as you aren’t wearing trainers/jeans/short sleeved shirts you’ll be fine :smile:
Bring a small snack too! You don't know how long you'll be on your feet!
