How to make application stand out above others

hi, so just got my A level results got A*A*A, going to do doing economics at uni, i wanted to go into an actuary career if not that investment banking, and i know i need to apply to summer internships in my second year , and i wanted to know what kind of things do these companies look for because i assume a lot of applicants will have similar grades to mine if not better so is there any activity/things i can do at uni to make my application stand out more?
Very well done! You may want to check out Spring Weeks with regard to Investment Banking (or related careers). Definately a tad early right now, hence why you'll notice most, if not all, applications currently closed, however it's worthwhile to note that Spring Weeks tend to act as an initial funnel to gaining a summer internship! Enjoy your summer, or what's left of it!
