Beating your uni offer for money

Hey all-

I have been to a few open days and I’m sure I heard somewhere that at some unis you get given money/charged less for every grade over your offer you get? Not talking about like a bursary, but like a cash amount (eg £50) for beating a grade. Is this a thing or was the person talking ****?

Sounds like rubbish. Not sure why the uni really cares?
Trace the person who told you and ask them to source it.

There's lots like that, including Surrey too..

But that's not really the same as your original question

No I know, like I say I was just listening in so I must have interpreted what they said wrong. Still, free money can’t conplain
The closest thing to this I can think of is UEA, which give certain loans to students who achieve A/A* in their EPQ.

Doesn't appear to be a loan, it's free money (bursary) :yy:

You can get scholarships where in some cases you can get £1000 a year for getting about 2 grades over the entry requirements

City University definitely do. Well they did when I was looking to apply a few years back.
