Scream at family members

The counting to 10 thing is such a cliche but it sure as hell works.

Screaming into a pillow over and over and over again. Didn't really work for me and I was just really angry still, but I let most of it out. Then I wrote down why I was feeling angry and didnt speak to the person that I was angry with until I could realise why I did it and could explain why I was getting angry without getting actually angry.

Try to separate yourself from your emotions and analyse the situation logically. Remember that losing your temper does more damage to your health than keeping a cool head.

Find a way of expressing your anger without physically or emotionally hurting anybody.

I found a pretty extreme way of dealing with my anger problems a couple of years ago. I took up paintballing! Now 2 years and about £1800 later I have no anger problems and have discovered something I love and now do every week.

Punching walls was a favourite until I unsurprisingly screwed up my knuckles.

Whenever I get angry I retreat to my bathroom and just drink lots of cold water. Then I pick up a bodhran and beat the living nonsense out of it (its a type of drum) to vent and to soothe me.

Perhaps you have another way of releasing it? like writing or drawing or running, for example

I either swear my head off, or I hit the gym and make sure I go through a tough work-out, that calms me down:biggrin: .

punchbag. Get one. If you're naturally inclined towards violence and anger, (I am) it's not always the most productive action to suppress/ignore it. Sometimes it can feel like you've diffused it but you really haven't.
It's important to select a channel to express your anger. Mine is talking feverently with massive hyperbole to my friends but once I've got a place where the structure's strong enough, I'll be getting a punchbag. Makes me much less annoying a person.

I personally just suck it up and deal with things.
I dont get angry.

Seriously, I just think how stupid I look when I get angry and how I'd laugh at myself.

Whenever i feel angry, i will :
01.sleep
02.tell the real story to my close friends or family members especially my mom
03.never talk to the people that makes me angry until i really recovered
04.make sure that i'll finish all of my works for next week in this week(when i do all of my next week works, people will definitely will know that i'm angry..lol..)
05.face the people that makes me angry one-on-one and try to settle it out.

Gym
DJing
Kicking a rugby ball against a wall
Cycling
Driving

Not nessisarily in that order, which ever is easiest or I have money for.
