Have you ever feel awkward when joining a particular Sports?

Next term i'm thinking of joining the Football team where they train you to be skilled Football player( know the rules of tournament). This would feel weired because i'm not as good as my friends( especially the rules) and i think Football is the game everyone can play( where i'm just a rookie here)

Have you guys have any advice for me?

Well, first off, learn the rules?

yeah, read up on the basic rules to start with (im sure you know more than you realise) Then have a bit of a kick around with a few friends to get used to playing again and just go and give it your best shot. Just be honest if they ask what level you are because then they can give you as much help as possible.

Good luck and have fun

but have you guys feel somewhat awkward when joining sports with people you don't know ( and it happens to be all of them)?

yeah i felt pretty awkward to start with joining the rugby team this year as im a second year. however all of the new guys into the team accepted me just fine and so did the rest of the team. Just stick with it and you'll get over the uncomfortable feeling. And in response to the grade thing, dont tell them and just have a go

I understand what you mean, I feel like i'm constantly being judged when I play with new people. Then I find out it's pointless because even the biggest idiot seems to accept novices when it comes to sport. :P
