Hello! Has anyone applying for tuition fees loan and also thinks they should be eligible for LFS included their household income in the application? I just want to know how do you do that since SLC themselves do not require these documents?

I'm not sure about this. Best thing to do is to contact SLC on Twitter, email or phone to ask for further clarification about this.

Hiya. I happen to also be from London as well and I've firmed Leeds for history and politics. I'm not too worried about the distance because you can get there by train in around 2 hours ish and with new trains from LNER due imminently, the travel experience will be much nicer. I choose Leeds over York because of how close the uni campus was to local amenities so it would be less of a culture shock I guess.

Thanks, it’s nice to hear this from someone who would be dealing with similar distance  it’s definitely a help that the campus is close to the city centre , to be honest it’s why I’m drawn to it as well!
hiya, i firmed an offer for international history and politics about a week ago (ish, might be more or less but revision has fried my brain and i'm not sure) and was wondering how long people had to wait before applying to accommodation ?? i logged onto the uni site with my credentials but it says that the application process is not currently open and honestly don't know if i should just leave it for a few more days to see if that changes or try contacting the uni
Thank you! I think I've probably overthought accommodation way too much haha

Ah very true. Don't worry however, you have plenty of time before the deadline.

You'll be fine, don't worry or stress. You'll meet loads of people in Leodis and the wider Leeds university bubble and people doing the same course as you.

Yay, another coursemate. Feel free to DM me. If you've firmed Leeds a week ago, you can apply for accommodation here using your UCAS iD and the password is your DoB in the format DD/MM/Year including the forward slash. Any questions about this, feel free to ask me or others.

i've done this and changed the password but literally as soon as i click on apply now after logging in, i get told that applications are not open so i think there might be something wrong with my account or maybe even the website. hopefully they'll be able to fix it after easter. honestly really torn between applying for either henry price or leodis so at least this gives me more time to think about it

Wait after the Easter break and drop Leeds an email about problems with the accommodation portal and they'll sort it out. I've applied to Leodis personally as I want to be somewhere relatively central and it's at a reasonable price I'd say. Henry Price is cheaper, on campus and is also central vs Leodis which is off-campus, slightly more expensive if you want the en-suite option and is also central. Hope that makes it easier to decide.
I just checked the accommodation on the uni website, they have secretly up the cost for every accommodation.

Lmao not secretly. There was a provisional file online where they showed how much the accommodations will cost in 19/20. They changed the prices accordingly.

Yeh, but they only changed it during Easter which is a bit sneaky.

Presumably this is because they just confirmed the prices.

I've applied for Leodis because of how nice the rooms and location are, it took me agesss to decide and was worried as I'm a big partygoer and I haven't heard much about Leodis social life, can anyone reassure me haha

Is there a gc on facebook?
I was worried too when I seen that post but was able quite recently to apply with CV as my preferred residence, so I'm not sure if there was an error made on behalf of the accommodation server when it was rejected for other students? My application has been confirmed etc although I have heard central village and cityside are oversubscribed already so less chance of getting them

Hi, does anyone know if an earlier post saying that Central Village and Cityside accomm are no longer available to choose please?
My son was told on the offer holder day that all accommodation is offered as a draw, and not on a first come first served basis, therefore we thought there was no hurry to apply.
He has yet to decide if he will firm Leeds or another uni, but as he liked CV he may be put off Leeds if he cannot even have a chance of getting it.
Thank you

Do note that is primarily the people that make an accommodation block sociable or not. At the end of the day, anywhere you go there will be people who are introverted and those who are extroverted, but you'll always find people to be with and socialise with.
Hi. I know everyone is talking about accommodation stuff now etc (I had issues when logging in but wasn’t putting the / into the password ahha oops) but I was just wondering anyone apply for Education BA? Or have they heard anything about the course itself? Thanks
