I actually had a pretty bad dream once where I saw my teeth crumble in the mirror :s-smilie: But those dental checkups put my mind at ease

I don't have fear of losing them in general, but I have a fear of falling over and my front ones being knocked out by a big piece of metal or stone. :eek3: :frown:

I always have dreams about losing them all, which is really odd.

I've a dream about lossing a tooth. I read somewhere that it is meant to represent the loss or deteriation of a friendship (if you believe that kind of stuff). Correct me if i'm wrong..

Here we go:
Teeth

To dream that you have rotten or decaying teeth, forewarns that your health and/or business is in jeopardy. You may have uttered some false or foul words and those words are coming back to haunt you.

To dream that you are brushing your teeth, signifies your level of confidence, struggles and aggressiveness. You need to look out for yourself and your own interest.

Dreaming about loosing your teeth is supposed to represent sexual frustration...

I must admit, i've had the dream where my teeth have crumbled and fallen out too! Pretty scary i'd hate to loose my front teeth.

I have a fear of exactly that.
I have a fear of falling in general (note: not heights although that obviously increases the fear of falling).
When I was about 8/9, I fell over (and I was surprisingly crouched down when I lost my balance, not standing) and knocked my front tooth out on a concrete step, so it's partly due to that!

Well i got my front teeth knocked out when i was about 10 by a golf ball so i cant really say i have much to lose other than a plastic tooth now haha xD but thats pretty hard because its cemented to the teeth next to it ! It was however the most painful experience of my life

I've had dreams like that, it stemmed from when i had a operation to remove 11 of my teeth, i was 8ish then and the dreams now are once in a while, i had terrible nightmares after the op thinking i was gonna lose the rest of my teeth.

How come the thread title emphasises the word 'your'?

It's as if the fear of losing someone else's teeth is a common phobia...

"Now, I know that lots of you out there are petrified of misplacing your mates nashers, but does anyone ever fear that they will one day do the unthinkable to themselves!?"

aaaahhhhh! yeah i definitely have this fear...i am always having nightmares about losing my teeth, them being really wobbly or rotten and all sorts... they are always different but equally scary. it sounds really stupid, but when i wake up im so relieved and brush my teeth like a maniac! ...i also have lots of nightmares about sharks, spiders and suddenly finding myself on a stage in front of lots of people, i.e. school talent show!
